Abstract:
To provide a printing plate material capable of being directly formed from digital data by using a compact apparatus easy to handle and repeatedly usable by regeneration.
A film 4 comprising an organic compound having a hydrophobic group is formed on the surface of a photosensitive layer 3 containing a photocatalyst responding not only to ultraviolet rays but also to visible light. By this method, the printing plate material is made repeatedly usable by the writing of an image on a surface of the plate material due to irradiation with visible light and regeneration of the surface of the plate material due to erasure of a written image.
