At this time, the standby period for prohibiting the alteration of the amount of ink to be supplied is determined on the basis of the pattern area ratio of the corresponding region. Further, the standby period for prohibiting the alteration of the amount of damping water is determined on the basis of the minimum pattern area among the average pattern area of the whole region and the pattern area of each region. Then, when either one of the amounts of ink and damping water to be supplied is altered, it is prohibited that the alteration of the other one of them is performed within a set time.
