To provide a printing system for a digital printer capable of automatically conducting a series of steps from platemaking to printing without intermediary of a human operation.

The printing system for a digital printer comprises a platemaking device 2 for forming an image on a printing plate, and a printing unit 1 for printing a printing sheet by using the printing plate. The printing system for the digital printer also comprises a computer 24 having an interface means 28 for setting printing conditions of operator's operations of the device 2 and the unit 1, and a printing processing means 31 for controlling the device 2 and the unit 1 based on the conditions obtained from the means 28. A printer controller 21 and imaging head controllers 22, 23 are associated with one software.
