To provide a printer capable of printing data on a rear face without mistaking a sheet for the rear face in performing manual both-side printing, a printing system, a print control unit, a print method, a print program, and a recording medium in which the program is stored.
In performing manual both-side printing for supplying a sheet completing the printing of one face to an MP tray 50 by a user and printing the other face of the sheet, a host computer 3, after discharging the sheet completing the printing of one face, displays a message including information specifying the sheet to be applied to both-side printing out of sheets stacked on the paper discharge tray 51 on a display 25. A printer 2 prints out data on the other face of the sheet supplied to the MP tray 50 in accordance with the message to perform manual both-side printing.
