Abstract:
To suppress ink switching not intended by a user due to mismatched paper and ink settings in the use of a printer capable of ink switching compliant with the paper setting.
The printer is configured to print in a selected one of two types of black ink, that is, photo black and matte black, and if paper incompatible with the selected ink is set, print after automatic ink switching compliant with the paper setting. If paper incompatible with the selected ink has been set when a print setting screen 400 is displayed in the use of the printer, the paper setting is switched to the ink before the print setting screen 400 is displayed.
