A printed matter monitoring server 101 stores in a monitoring information storage part 206 information associating identification information corresponding to the printed matter printed by a printing device 103 contained in a print completion notice received from the printing device 103 with user-specifying information that specifies the user who have made a print instruction. A print monitoring part 207 of the printed matter monitoring server 101 receives the identification information received from an identification information detection device 102 and read from the printed matter printed by the printing device 103 and held by the user, specifies the identification information not notified from the identification information detection device 102 among the identification information added to the printed matter whose completion is notified from the printing device 103, and controls so as to give a warning from a left-printed matter notification part 209 that the printed matter corresponding to the specified identification information has not been acquired to a printing terminal 100 of the user corresponding to the specified identification information.
