In a printing system, print instructions are transmitted to a printer from a terminal device through a repeating device. The terminal device has terminal device transmission means that transmits language information and print instructions set for the terminal device to the repeating device. The repeating device has repeating device reception means for receiving the language information and the print instructions, print job creation means for creating a print job on the basis of the received print instructions, and repeating device transmission means that transmits the created print job to the printer. The printer has printer reception means for receiving the print job, print means for printing an image on the basis of the received print job, display means for displaying display information. The printing system includes display control means which displays the display information on display means in a language based on language information received by the repeating device reception means.
