Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing system, in which a sheet thickness value of a text sheet charged from a tray may be accurately set.SOLUTION: There is provided printing system 1 comprising a printing apparatus 100 executing print on a text sheet Pb and a binding apparatus 300 creating a book with a sheet bundle Pc of the text sheets Pb, which comprises a bundle thickness obtaining part 205 obtaining a bundle thickness value of the sheet bundle Pc, a sheet number obtaining part 206 obtaining a sheet number of the sheet bundle Pc, a sheet thickness calculation part 207 calculating a sheet thickness value with the bundle thickness value and the sheet number, a sheet thickness setting part 208 setting the sheet thickness value as a tray sheet thickness value, and a storing part 204 storing property data showing relationship between the sheet number and accuracy of the sheet thickness value. When a new sheet thickness value is calculated, the sheet thickness setting part 208 compares the sheet number used in calculation of the new sheet thickness value with the sheet number used in calculation of the tray sheet thickness value based on the property data, and sets the new sheet thickness value as the tray sheet thickness value in a case where the accuracy of the new sheet thickness value is higher than the accuracy of the tray sheet thickness value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
