To provide a printing system which enables efficient execution of a cutting and pasting work in an arbitrary shape as to printed matter.

In an editing image screen 101 of a personal computer, a cut-off line 102 for cutting and pasting work is written in the image plane, and in a printer, the cut-off line 102 is printed on paper with melting toner which melts the paper. After the paper is delivered, a second solvent is sprayed on the paper and the cut-off line 102 is melted by a chemical reaction of the melting toner, the second solvent and the paper. In this way, printed matter of an arbitrary shape is obtained easily without using scissors or a cutter, and the cutting-and-pasting work is completed by pasting this printed matter on a needed place.
