PURPOSE: To position one set of types at an angle of 90 by extending a polar member along generatrices of a support, forming a channel-like recess extending parallel to a spindle between the generatrices, and engaging independent permanent magnets with individual recesses, thereby simply replacing the type.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical support of the type holder is made of a soft steel. And, a polar member 3 is formed with a recess 4 and engaged with a permanent magnet 5 at two radially opposed parts of a carcass 1 pressure engaged along an inner tube. Each member 3 is formed at its end 6 with a wedge shape directed toward a center axis of the inner tube, and has a flat base 7 and a flat side face 8. The type may be mounted by engaging the base 9 with the recess until a lower side surface of a body 10 is brought into contact with the two adjacent members 3. To remove it, the type may be pulled by a force canceling a magnetic attraction force. Accordingly, the one set of the types can be positioned at 90 and can be easily replaced with the other types.
