Abstract:
To provide a gravure printer which can easily clean ink stains, a printing unit, and a cleaning method.SOLUTION: A printing unit 100 of a gravure printer 10 includes: a plate cylinder 110 transferring ink to an object to be printed; and printer constitution members (for example, an ink pan 140, an ink supply part 150, a doctor blade fixing part 162, and the like) which constitute a part of the gravure printer 10 and are arranged at parts to which ink can attach. At least to a part of the surface of the printer constitution members, hydrophilic treatment is applied. At prescribed parts in the printer constitution members to which the hydrophilic treatment is applied, a hydrophilic film is formed and, since the ink stain is adhered on the film, the ink stain can be easily cleaned.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
