Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing unit for a sheet-fed press capable of accurately winding a plate film around the outer peripheral face of a plate cylinder when a new plate film is to be set.
SOLUTION: In the printing unit for the sheet-fed press, when the new plate film is to be set to the plate cylinder, the start end part of the plate film mounted on a supply reel is drawn out of a recessed part and the plate cylinder is rotated while tension is applied to the drawn-out plate film to wind the plate film around the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder. When the plate film is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder, a guide member coming into contact with the plate film drawn out from the plate cylinder over the almost entire width of the film to guide the plate film is provided.
