Title:
PRIORITY GIVING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2525550
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve switch throughput performance by giving priority to bus operation in specific order in a simplex switch having individual buses.
CONSTITUTION: A control message regarding a connection request of a subsystem 12 is sent from input/output paths 16 and 18 to a connection process CP bus 30 which operates as a circuit switching bus. A switch element matrix 24 performs a connecting/disconnecting process according to priority at a conflicting connection request from each subsystem 12. The priority is so determined as to process a connection reset releasing request first, then a connection request addressed to a subsystem holding a connection request, and lastly a request addressed to a subsystem holding no connection request. Consequently, the switch throughput performance of interconnection of subsystems of a data communication system can be improved.
