Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probability generator providing a player with expectation and fair gambling properties (preventing substantial losses) as well as surprisingness in using a game machine or the like.
SOLUTION: The probability generator 1 has a parallel random number generator 2 for generating random numbers with uniformity. Data generated based on random numbers using a trigger signal as a starting point are used as data for generating probabilities and are compared with range data to output a win/lose probability signal. The range data use as a probability generating position value Rs a random number obtained using the trigger signal as a starting point, and are designated by probability lower limit data DL, which are obtained by subtracting from the probability generating position value Rs a value obtained by multiplying a predetermined probability width by an increase factor Fi, and by probability upper limit data DU obtained by adding to the probability generating position value Rs a value obtained by multiplying the probability width Pw by the increase factor Fi. The increase factor Fi of probabilities increases as the number of consecutive losses of probability signals from the initial value increases, and returns to the initial value at the time when a jackpot is won.
