PURPOSE: To generate correlative probability variables at random time intervals, by using a tapped shift register as a memory means.
CONSTITUTION: Corresponding to a clock signal generated by clock signal generator 3 at random period T, noise generator 1 generates a probability variable signal independent in terms of time, and it is inputted to tapped shift register 2 synchronizing with the clock signal. In response to every clock, shift register 2 transfers the probability variable signal to adjacent registers successively and they are summed up by addition switch group 5, so that the sum will be outputted to output terminal 6. The signal at output terminal 6 varies with the clock signal and is the sum of (n) independent probability variables, so it is also a probability variable and that of period T having correlative time nT. This constitution provides the generation of correlative probability variables at random time intervals.
