PURPOSE: To achieve handiness of handling and inspection with ease of cleaning, disinfecting work and the like by providing a heat shrinkable tube and a yarn- like body which is buried into a skin of the tube to cleave it when the probe is covered closely therewith.

CONSTITUTION: This cover has a heat shrinkable tube 21 which covers an endoscope probe closely being shrunk by heating. A yarn-like body 22 is arranged which is buried into a skin of the tube 21 along the length thereof to cleave the tube 21 by pulling when the probe is covered closely with the tube 21. A scope 1 of the endoscope in this example comprises a probe 11 to be inserted into a body cavity or the like, a manipulating section 10 on hand, a universal cord 12 and the like. Then, the probe 11 is covered with the endoscope probe cover 2. The covering of the probe 11 with the endoscope probe cover 2 is made before operation such as inspection with the endoscope and after the operation, the probe cover 2 is cleaved and removed by pulling the yarn-like body 22, thereby facilitating work of cleaning and disinfecting the endoscope probe.
