PURPOSE: To provide a probe for a measuring apparatus which eliminates poor action caused between a detecting section and a control section even when a positioning mechanism is operated.
CONSTITUTION: A mobile member 2 is provided movable relatively with respect to a fixed member 13, a stylus 4 having a contact 3 is mounted on the mobile member 2 and a positioning mechanism 5 is arranged between the fixed member 13 and the mobile member 2 to position the members 2 and 13. The stylus 4 is provided with a detecting section 6 and a control section 7 is arranged on the side of the fixed member 13 to transmit a signal to or receive it from the detecting section 6. A non-contact type electric transmission member 8 is arranged between the fixed member 13 and the mobile member 2 to transmit a signal and/or power between the detecting section 6 and the control section 7. This eliminates the need for connection between the detecting section 6 and the control section 7 with an electric wire and a contact pin.
