Abstract:
To provide a probe molecule search apparatus that can quickly search for probe molecules and can be used for a method for electrochemically detecting target molecules without labels.SOLUTION: A probe molecule search apparatus has: a connector 102 that is connected with an electrode of a well plate with an electrode 110; an electrochemical measuring device 103 that sweeps the potential of the electrode and measures a current response; a connection checking unit that, for a control specimen liquid containing oxidation-reduction active molecules, compares the measured current response with a predetermined standard; a display unit that, when the current response satisfies the predetermined standard as a result of comparison, displays information for encouraging to further add target molecules to prepare a specimen liquid; and a comparison unit that compares a current response from a well that stores the specimen liquid with the current response from the control specimen liquid. As a result of comparison of the current response between the specimen liquid and the control specimen liquid, when the current response from the specimen liquid is smaller, the display unit displays information for determining that the probe molecules and the target molecules can form a complex.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
