Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probing robot excellent in traveling performance so as to be able to move over an obstacle by means of a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: A probing robot comprises: a body 11 provided with an imaging device 14; a pair of caterpillars 20 provided on the right and left sides of the body 11; and arm parts 30 provided on the sides of the body 11 and rotated with respect to the body 11. Arm shafts 33, 34, which are revolving shafts for the arm parts 30, are provided so as to be coaxial with a foremost wheel 21 and a rearmost wheel 22 of the caterpillars 20, and the foremost wheel 21 and the rearmost wheel 22 are freely rotated independently. By virtue of this, the arm parts 30 greatly project forward or backward. By using the arm parts 30 as lifters used for lifting or supporting the body 11 when moving over an obstacle such as a step, traveling performance excellent with respect to the obstacle can be exhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
