PURPOSE: To provide the process adaptive control method and process adaptive control system which can perform process control by using a model which consists of plural subprocesses and enables each subprocess to simulate precisely characteristics of a process as a distribution constant system.
CONSTITUTION: This system is equipped with a command prediction system 2 which finds a predicted value of a command of the steam temperature of a power plant 1, a steam temperature prediction system 3 which finds a predicted value of the steam temperature, a manipulated variable determination system 4 which determines a manipulated variable on the basis of the predicted value of the command and the predicted value of the prediction system, and a switch 5 which selects whether a controlled variable is used directly or not; and the steam temperature prediction system 3 simulates idle time characteristics of a heat exchange originally as the distribution constant system by using plural centralized constant models for respective heat exchange.
