Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable high-efficient continuous production of oxamide by preventing the blockade at the ammonia feeder caused by formation and adhesion of insoluble oxamide to the site to which ammonia is fed and by improving the contact efficiency between ammonia gas and a solution of dialkyl oxalate in an alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: In the reactor 30, a rotary drum 31 having a plurality of projecting nozzles 32 in the direction crossing with the rotation axis 31a is rotated around the axis 31a. Thus, as the mixture is stirred, ammonia gas is jetted through the nozzles 32 into the mixture in fine bubbles whereby oxamide is produced.
