To provide a process cartridge of a blade cleaning system which performs an electrifying process using a contact type electrifying roller and uses spherical toner, a rubber blade, and so on, wherein degradation in cleaning performance, curling of a cleaning blade, etc., which are liable to be caused heretofore, are prevented and satisfactory image quality is maintained for a long time, and to provide an image forming apparatus.
The process cartridge has at least an image carrier (photoreceptor 12) on which a toner image is formed from spherical toner, a cleaning blade 14 which is in contact with the image carrier, and an electrifying roller 16 which is in contact with the image carrier and applies a DC voltage and an AC voltage in such a manner that they overlap each other. If a loss tangent tanδ according to the JIS K7198 of the cleaning blade 14 is A and the Asker C hardness of the electrifying roller 16 is B, the relation of 0.1<A×B<30 is satisfied. The image forming apparatus includes the process cartridge.
