PURPOSE: To provide a process condition knowledge acquisition device with which the need of applying a digitizing process to values of variables composing a condition is eliminated, and with which correct and arranged knowledge can be obtained easily with relation to the condition in acquiring the knowledge for the process condition.
CONSTITUTION: In a condition knowledge acquisition device I, qualitative values (values) for variables expressing process condition transition computed by a qualitative simulator 2 are inputted through an input part 15 to an ID3 computation part 3, so a digitizing process for input data to the ID3 computation part 3 is not required. Qualitative relational expressions between the variables comprising the qualitative values obtained by roughly separating continuous values can be easily obtained as relation of true contents. By thus inputting results of computation computed based on the qualitative relational expressions of the contents to the ID3 computation part 3, they are sorted and ruled, thereby correct and arranged knowledge can be provided easily.
