Abstract:
To provide a new process for conditioning isocyanates or mixtures of isocyanates by removing organophosphorus components in such a suitable manner that the organophosphorus compounds no longer interfere with processing of the isocyanates.
The process comprises adding P4S10 to isocyanates or mixtures thereof which contain trialkylphosphine oxides and optionally trialkyldihalophosphoranes and reacting the P4S10 with the above oxides and phosphoranes to form a proportional amount of trialkylphosphine sulfides.
