PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of operation by an operator in process control of glass article manufacture.

CONSTITUTION: The screen of a help window is displayed in place of the screen for the entire part of a machine for manufacturing the glass articles by locating the cursor of a mouse 20 of a computer 21 above one help button 22 and clicking the mouse in the state that a drum 10, which is the basic mechanical element of the machine for manufacturing the glass articles, and a plurality of discrete sections 12 of the same constitution existing around this drum are displayed on the display screen 13 of a CRT display 14. The screen of the help window displays the list of help topics usable with respect to the selected machine area. Further, the text or video associated with the selected topic may be displayed on the display screen. If necessary, the enlargement or scroll of the display screen is possible. Since the information necessary for the operator may be properly displayed on the screen, the operability is improved.
