To provide a process for endothermic conversion of hydrocarbon, to provide its uses, and to provide an equipment for carrying out the process.
This process for converting hydrocarbon uses at least one endothermic chemical reaction on the while, in which a hydrocarbon feed continuously passes at least two reaction zones each containing at least one solid catalyst, and contains an intermediated step in a non catalytic zone between the reaction zones, for reheating the stream(ST) from the first of the two reaction zones prior to its introduction into the second reaction zone. The reheating is carried out in a heat exchanger, with heat transfer essentially by convection using a thermal fluid TF with a coking sensitivity index CS that is less than that of the stream ST. The difference in temperature Δ T between the temperature of the fluid TF at the inlet to the exchanger and the temperature of the stream ST at the heat exchanger outlet is less than 250°C.
