Title:
PROCESS FOR HYDROTREATING ORGANIC FEEDSTOCK CONTAINING UNSTABLE OLEFINIC COMPOUND WITH RETARDED CARBON PRECIPITATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2569273
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for obtaining a hydrocarbon-based compound having a reduced halogen content, by which carbon precipitation is prevented, and catalyst activities are maintained by hydrotreating an organic feedstock containing a thermally unstable compound and a halogen component under a specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: An organic feedstock containing a thermally unstable compound such as olefins, and a halogen component, and a hydrogen flow are brought into contact with a hydrogenation catalyst comprising palladium and alumina at a temperature of 10-454°C under a pressure of 790-12515 Pa at a hydrogen-circulating rate of 35-26655 std m3/m3, effective for forming hydrogen halide in a hydrogenation zone 2, and a part of an effluent from the hydrogenation zone 2 is condensed to provide a gas flow comprising the hydrogen and the hydrogen halide, and a liquid flow comprising the hydrocarbon-based compound. A product flow comprising the hydrocarbon compound and reduced halogen component is recovered from the liquid flow, and the hydrogen halide in an amount capable of retarding the precipitation of the carbon is recycled to the hydrogenation zone 2 to hydrotreat the organic feedstock in the process for hydrotreating the feedstock.
