PURPOSE: To simplify the insertion and deletion of processes and to easily execute the modification and maintenance of a system by providing this process managing device with a process managing part for centralizedly managing a processing process.

CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with the process managing part 1 including a storing part 12 having a key part for storing end codes indicating the processing end of preprocesses and a data part storing next process information consisting of a next process codes indicating the process names of next processes to be processed following respective preprocesses and addition codes indicating the combinations of file names and data names so as to be retrieved by respective end codes stored in the corresponding key part and a processing part 11. The processing part 11 retrieves the next process information from the storing part 12 in accordance with each end code arriving from an information processing part 3 and stores the retrieved next process information in an interface file 2 to be a key delivering means and the stored contents are transferred to the processing part 3 prior to the start of the next process.
