Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process of manufacture of caliper for disc brake in which a hydraulic pressure communication passage can be positively mounted in a bridge part connecting an inner caliper part and an outer caliper part without being dependent upon a machine work.SOLUTION: Each of hydraulic cylinders 15, 15 at an inner caliper part 12 and hydraulic cylinders 15, 15 at an outer caliper part 13 constituting a caliper 10 manufactured by a process of manufacture of a disc brake caliper are communicated by cylinder side hydraulic pressure passages 16, 17 arranged at each of the rear surfaces and a hydraulic communication passage 18 arranged in a bridge part 14, a core used at the time of casting formation of the inner caliper part 12, the outer caliper part 13 and the bridge part 14 is provided in advance with a connection passage forming part corresponding to each of the cylinder side hydraulic pressure passages 16, 17 and the hydraulic pressure communication passage 18, and each of the cylinder side hydraulic pressure passages 16, 17 and the hydraulic pressure communication passage 18 are simultaneously buried at the time of integral casting formation of each of the caliper parts 12, 13 and the bridge part 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
