Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block manufacturing process capable of reducing a pit area rate in a spray coating membrane formed on the bore inner surface of the cylinder block.SOLUTION: A cylinder block manufacturing process comprises: a spray coating step of for spraying a metallic material to a bore inner surface 11a of a cylinder bore formed in a cylinder block, thereby to form a spray-coated skin film 11b; a compressing step of applying a predetermined pressure to the surface 11c of a spray-coated membrane 11b formed on the bore inner face 11a by the spray coating step; and a honing step of honing the surface 11c of the spray-coated member 11b after the compression step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
