Abstract:

To provide a process oil for rubber exhibiting rubber properties comparable to those of a conventional aromatic oil, having no problem with respect to carcinogenicity and being excellent in safety, and to provide a process oil for rubber produced without changing a production process of a by-produced lube oil base oil.

This process oil for rubber consists of a second raffinate obtained by a second solvent-extraction of (A1) a second extract obtained by a second solvent-extraction of a first raffinate and/or (A2) a first extract obtained by a first solvent-extraction as described below, wherein the first raffinate and first extract are obtained by a first extraction using as a raw material, a deasphalted oil obtained by deasphalting a reduced pressure-distillation residual oil having 1% by volume distilling temperature of 380C or higher which is obtained from a paraffin-based crude oil.
