Abstract:
To produce an alkaline earth alkoxide of higher alcohol with sufficiently high product purity, economically as possible.
The process for preparation of metal-free pure alkaline earth alkoxide of general formula I, M(OR1)2, [in the formula each of M and R1 is specifically defined] comprises alcoholysis of a compound expressed by general formula II, M(OR2)x(OR3)y(OR4)z, [in the formula each of M, R2, R3, R4, x, y or z is specifically defined], in a solvent expressed by general formula III, HOR1, [in the formula R1 is specifically defined], which is excessively used while the compounds of formula I and/or formula II are partially dissolved during the alcoholysis.
