PURPOSE: Polypeptide with melting point of 206°C, specific rotatory po power of [a]2O7 -54° (c, 0.3; h2 O) and no specific adsorption band in UV spectrum produced from a microorganism which is a bacillus of a shape being 1 X 3W 4μ in size, does not form spores, is gram-negative and has no acid-fast activity.
