Title:
PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYMER-DISPERSED POLYOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001316407
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a process for preparing a polymer-dispersed polyol which is suitable for a raw material of a polyurethane foam having excellent flame retardancy and durability including wet-heat compression durable strain.

There is provided a process for preparing a polymer-dispersed polyol, wherein in the polymerization of 5-50 wt.% of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, which comprises 5-80 wt.% of acrylamide, 5-70 wt.% of acrylonitrile and 5-60 wt.% of styrene, in 95-50 wt.% of a polyol, an initiator of a relatively low concentration is used in the first step to polymerize the monomer mixture of 1-10 wt.% concentration based on the polyol in 60-80 wt.% of the total polyol, while in the second step, an initiator of a relatively high concentration is used to polymerize the rest of the monomer mixture by adding the rest of the polyol and the rest of the monomer mixture to the reaction liquid of the first step.
