Title:
PROCESS FOR PRESULFURIZATION OF HYDROCARBON TREATMENT CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0639299
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To immediately begin refining of hydrocarbons when a raw material to be treated is charged by using not a sole solvent but a suitable mixture with at least one compound containing an olefinic carbon bond as a solvent, reactivating a catalyst and reacting sulfur with a metal contained.

CONSTITUTION: This process for presulfurization of hydrocarbon treatment catalyst comprises the use of a mixture of a solvent with at least one compound containing olefinic carbon bond for introduction of sulfurizing agent. In the process, a catalyst, the sulfurizing agent which contains one group selected from elemental sulfur and an organic polysulfide, a solvent and a liquid containing the compound containing the olefinic carbon bond are brought into contact with each other and thermally treated. Elemental sulfur is bonded with the double bond of the olefin compound to form the polysulfide. Thereby predesulfurization is carried out in the presence of the polysulfide or in the presence of the elemental sulfur or in the presence of the both sulfurizing agents.
