Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively present the generation of pilling without lowering the functions of a fiber.
CONSTITUTION: A coating liquid 12 containing an antipenetration agent, an alkaline compound and a sizing agent and having a viscosity of 10-800 poise is applied to a cloth 15 containing polyester fiber by using a non-contact method and the cloth is heat-treated 16. The coating is preferably carried out by using a slit-die coater or a reverse coater. The coating liquid is preferably incorporated with a thinning promoter to shorten the treatment time. A cloth resistant to pilling and having good feeling can be produced without lowering the functions of the cloth.
