Abstract:
To provide a hydrophilic flexible polyurethane foam which remarkably excels in water absorption performance such as a rate of absorbing water, an amount of water absorbed, and a retention of water absorbed and can be easily produced.
The hydrophilic flexible polyurethane foam is obtained by subjecting a flexible polyurethane foam obtainable by foaming a foam raw material containing a polyol and a polyisocyanate to press processing immediately after foaming. The shape of the cells of the foam is intentionally changed by the press processing immediately after foaming.
