To provide a process for producing a low-pollution fuel composition by blending crude gasoline with methanol in a high proportion, and a process for producing a low-pollution fuel composition which comprises mainly methanol and can be used as it is as a fuel for an automobile having a usual engine hitherto used.
The process for producing a low-pollution fuel comprises bringing a liquid mixture obtained by mixing an alcohol with crude gasoline and crude naphtha or an additive made from several fossil fuels into contact under a high pressure with a modifier comprising a ceramic material produced by burning a mineral powder, thus allowing emulsification and polymerization. The low-pollution fuel is homogeneous and is free from separation or dissociation of each ingredient even when left to stand for a long time.
