To provide a process for production of polyamide resin pellets for the production of films which give polyamide resin films improved in surface appearance by using a technique other than adding a compound and without impairing the heat resistance, slipperiness, or transparency which are the important properties as a film.
The process for production of polyamide resin pellets for the production of films, characterized by extruding a polyamide resin obtained by melt polycondensation into strands, cooling and solidifying the strands, cutting them with a rotary cutter, and separating fines contained therein and having the fines content of the pellets to 20 ppm by weight or below. The polyamide resin can give polyamide resin films which are suppressed in the occurrence of fishing eyes and thereby improved in surface appearance without adding a compound and without impairing the heat resistance, slipperiness, or transparency and which have higher commercial value. Furthermore, the polyamide resin is expected to bring about higher productivity in producing films by a recent molding process involving a high flow rate, a high extruder rate, and an extruder cylinder temperature exceeding 250°C, thus having great industrial value.
