Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pure, colorless and odorless glycol recycled product without causing conventional technical problems and, simultaneously, as simply as possible from used glycol-containing technical fluids, especially used anti- freezes.

CONSTITUTION: To used glycol-containing technical fluids, especially used anti- freezes is added an organic solvent which forms with the glycol to be separated an azeotropic mixture which has a lower boiling point than that of the glycol as such, and this azeotropic mixture is distilled off.
