Abstract:

To reduce nitrogen oxide and emitted substance of soot from a diesel engine at the same time for environmental protection.

The device is to remove soot particles from exhaust gas of a diesel engine, where a deep-bed particulate filter is employed. The deep-bed particulate filter is coated by catalyst coating for oxidizing nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide. The device is provided with the second particulate filer, having filtration efficiency which exceeds 95%, disposed on the downstream of the deep-bed particulate filter.
