Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for stabilizing organic phosphite or phosphonite against hydrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: This method for stabilizing crystalline phosphite or phosphonite against hydrolysis is constituted by introducing a mixture comprising phosphite or phosphonite, a solvent or a solvent mixture and 0.1-100 wt.% (to the phosphite or phosphonite) of amine at a temp. of 50-100°C as a homogeneous melt into a liquid crystalline medium whose the temp. during the addition is maintained by 10-70°C below the temp. of the melt.
