Abstract:
To provide a process for holding a weft thread inserted into an air jet weaving machine provided with a reed 8.
The weft thread is inserted into the air jet weaving machine, deflected from a weft thread inserting direction 9 by a nozzle 3 to be blown in a receiving opening 5a of a catch channel 5 and held in the catch channel. The positions of the nozzle 3 and the catch channel 5 are adjusted to a desired cloth width within the reed width. The nozzle 3 and the catch channel 5 are disposed on the beating side of the reed 8.
