To precisely correct a distance in height direction between a cutting edge of a rotary blade and a workpiece.
The processing device has a router bit 43, a multi-axis robot 3, a contact type displacement gauge 7, a laser displacement gauge 8, and a height correction section. The multi-axis robot 3 axially rotates the router bit 43 to cause movement with respect to the workpiece 100. The contact type displacement gauge 7 measures the displacement caused when the multi-axis robot 3 pushes from above the cutting edge of the router bit 43 against a displacement measuring surface 7A. The laser displacement gauge 8 measures the relative height of the displacement measuring surface 7A and that of the workpiece 100. The height correction section corrects the height of the cutting edge of the router bit 43 and the height of the workpiece 100, based on the measurement results of the contact type displacement gauge 7 and the laser displacement gauge 8.
