Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a processing machine which can obtain surely and easily the cutting speed V capable of extending the life span of a cutting tool.SOLUTION: A processing machine 1 has a control unit 2 including a material-MR memory operating device 5b and an MR-V memory device 5a. In the MR-V memory device 5a, an MR-V relation showing the relationship of a machinability index MR and the cutting speed V of a cutting tool is stored preliminarily. The materials -MR memory operating device 5b acquires the cutting speed V providing in the maximum tool life span from the machinability index MR based on the MR-V relation and an inputted workpiece material data and controls a driving device for driving the cutting tool so as to become the cutting speed V.
