PURPOSE: To prevent as yarn end from being caught by other components by conveying a residual yarn bobbin, erected on a peg tray, on a carrier path, and rotating the bobbin by a band member brought into contact with the bobbin so as to smooth down residual yarn to be wound around the bobbin.

CONSTITUTION: A peg tray 1 with a bobbin 2 erected thereon is conveyed along two guide wires 4 by a conveyor belt travelling below. The bobbin 2 is rotatably press-fitted to the supporting rod of the peg tray 1. A band member 5 with its outer face formed of rubber with a large friction coefficient is disposed along the line of the guide wire 4. The bobbin 2 is conveyed while being rotated on the peg tray l in the yarn winding direction by bringing the band member 5 into contact with the bobbin 2. Accordingly, even if there is residual yarn, the yarn end is smoothed down while being wound onto the bobbin 2 by the band member 5 so as to be prevented from being caught by other components.
