Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the easiness in processing a cylinder groove and simplify the mounting structure of a processing roller and a guide roller.
SOLUTION: A gas cylinder device concerned has a cylinder 2 which is provided at the bore with a cylinder groove 6 for generating an expansion side damping force using a cylinder groove processing device, wherein a processing roller is accommodated in the cylinder and rotates in the protruding condition. The arrangement further includes a slide member 21 fitted with a guide roller 24 coaxially with the processing roller 26 and a guide member 22 accommodated in the cylinder and furnished continuously with a main guide surface 27 and the first to fourth sub-guide surfaces 28A-28D, and these sub-guide surfaces guide the guide roller 24 of the slide member 21 so that the processing roller 26 is put in non-contacting condition with respect to the bore of the cylinder 2 while the main guide surface 27 guides the guide roller 24 of the slide member 21 so that the processing roller 26 is put in contact with the bore of the cylinder 2. Thereby the cylinder 2 is made possible to swell outward, and the intended cylinder groove 6 is produced by the processing roller 26 with relative movement of the slide member 21 to the cylinder 2 and guide member 22.
