PURPOSE: To perform a processing work easily and smoothly, and to reduce the processing cost, by executing a heat treatment on a shaft material after executing an ordinary lathe turning, thereafter, performing an eccentric polishing thereon.
CONSTITUTION: An ordinary lathe turning performing in the state of being made not eccentric is executed on a shaft material 4, then, the heat treatment of a cementation quenching, tempering, etc., is performed thereon, thereafter, an eccentric polishing is executed on this heat treated shaft material 4 with its chucking as it is similar to the case of an ordinary grinding, and an eccentric shaft 3 is formed with its working. In the case of the heat treated shaft material 4 being subjected to the eccentric polishing, there is no need for performing a troublesome phase mating, and the eccentric polishing work can be performed easily and quickly. Also, in a lathe turning stage, an ordinary lathe turning is applicable, so the work is easy, yet, no special exclusive machine is necessary, so the work cost can be reduced.
