Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a laser weld reinforcement parts which develops production efficiency of the valve seat in the cylinder head of engine.
SOLUTION: Just after the laser weld reinforcement which is formed by radiating laser beam while supplying an alloy powder on the surface of metal base material, the examining surface is formed by machining the weld reinforcement part remaining the excess material at the inner periphery side of material base material which constitutes a connecting part of the valve seat part to the port, and makes an on-line inspection on the existence of the defect in the weld reinforcement part using the said examining surface. If any defect is detected, the said weld reinforcement part is removed and a new weld reinforcement part is formed again.
