Title:
PROCESSING METHOD OF LENS CONTAINING SULFUR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP05253839
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of a nasty smell in a processing by vacuum- sucking the ambiant gas at the processing part, and delivering the sucked gas to an activated carbon layer consisting of a metal oxide added carbon type, in the processing of a plastic lens including sulfur atoms and having a bridge structure.

CONSTITUTION: This plastic lens includes sulfur atoms and has a bridge structure, and especially has an extrodinally high refrative index of 1.50, and it consists of an urethane resin containing sulfur, an epoxy resin containing sulfur, and polythionic (meta) acrylate resin. In the processing of such a plastic lens, the suction port of a suction device is set at the processing part, and the ambiant gas at the processing part is vacuum-sucked. The sucked gas is transferred to an activated carbon layer of a metal oxide added carbon type, so as to suck and process a nasty smell component. When an electric motor type exhauster is used as a suction device, the activated carbon layer is provided at the suction side of a fan, and a corrosion and a damage of the fan is prevented.
